Treasury North building in Darlington featuring modern six-storey office blocks with glass façade, landscaped entrance, and civic design elements.
Treasury North, Darlington
Darlington

Napper Architects were appointed by Darlington Borough Council to develop RIBA Stage 2-3 design proposals for the Government’s relocation of the Treasury offices to Darlington. The project proposes the Phase 2 development of Feethams House – a five storey Grade-A office development designed by Nappers for the Council in 2020. The project delivers a low carbon, civic building within the town centre providing flexible working spaces and excellent connectivity.

Two new six storey blocks along the north and east boundaries of the existing offices provide an additional 100,000sqft to meet the space requirements of the Treasury. The blocks connect via a new full height central atrium space and provide a mix of public and private realm with the architectural treatment and internal spaces befitting of a Central Government Building.
