Napper Architects have contributed to the advances in the design and procurement of successful architecture both regionally and nationally from their studio in Newcastle with eight decades of new ideas.
From their early pioneering work in education, housing and town-planning in 1950s-60s, through to major civic buildings of the 1980s-90s, followed by the recent successful projects for commercial, private and public sector clients, Napper Architects have delivered a much admired architectural legacy which has always stayed true to the original ethos of Professor Jack Napper himself.
Professor Jack Hollingworth Napper, of Newcastle University, formed J H Napper and Partners Architects in 1946. In doing so he became one of the few men who successfully combined practice with teaching up to his retirement in 1969. By then he had become without a doubt one of the most respected figures in architectural teaching.
