The Hybrid Business Innovation Centre in Darlington provides a bespoke environment of over 25,000 ft2 to nurture and promote entrepreneurship and business growth for new and existing SMEs within Darlington and the Tees Valley beyond.
The mix of high quality and flexible accommodation provides office and laboratory space that can respond to the specific needs of digital and technical businesses. Located within the heart of Central Park it will encourage further and continued investment into this critical site, allowing Darlington Borough Council to deliver their long-term strategy of attracting and supporting the innovative businesses of the future.
The Centre offers a range of work environments with serviced laboratory space at ground level and a range of office and collaborative workspaces on the upper floors. The project is funded by the Council, Tees Valley Combined Authority and the ERDF as well as the government’s Getting Building Fund. The design has been developed with Willmott Dixon Construction through the Scape Framework and further strengthens the portfolio of successful projects Napper Architects have designed for Darlington Borough Council through this procurement route.
