Teesside University Library refurbishment completed

Refurbishment and remodelling work to Teesside University Library has recently been completed, with the addition of a new campus café, exhibition space and collaborative working areas to the ground floor, plus a new glazed extension which links the café with an external terrace.

The newly refurbished spaces now provide a welcoming and vibrant environment within the library to provide a change from the standard desk environment, encouraging informal discussion and collaborative work.

The glazed extension provides additional capacity for the café when needed and, through the use of large folding doors, creates a link between the interior and the south facing terrace. This will allow well attended summer events, particularly around graduation time, to spill out into the landscaped areas.
