Seaham Harbour redevelopment sails away with top honours
The redevelopment of the coastal marina at Seaham Harbour picked up 6 awards in a 7 day period.
After picking up the coveted regional RICS Regeneration award and RICS Tourism award on the 25th April it went on to the regional RIBA awards on the 2nd May to pick up a RIBA award, RIBA client of the year award, RIBA building of the year award culminating in North East Architectural Practice of the year award.
The multi-million pound regeneration of Seaham Harbour Marina included the creation of new waterfront retail units, new dock gates, floating pontoons and North Terrace entrance and restoration of the once-derelict lifeboat centre.
