Graeme Dodd appointed as an assessor of applicants to the Conservation Register for Royal Institute of British Architects.

We are pleased to report that Graeme Dodd has been appointed to the National Assessment Panel at the RIBA. The appointment is for a fixed term of 3 years with the option of an additional consecutive fixed 3-year term.

The role involves quarterly panel meetings and assessment of applications for both Conservation Architect and Specialist Conservation Architect. 

As an office, we share the ICOMOS values and subscribe to their ethical statement and endorse their stance. We believe that the conservation of the world’s diverse cultural heritage is the responsibility and privilege of current generations as well as the privilege and right of future generations.

“This was a natural extension of my work as a Conservation mentor for the RIBA and is something that I am very much looking forward to. It many ways it continues the Napper tradition of putting something back into the profession. 

Graeme added that this has only been possible due to the experience gained by working at Napper; including the delivery of a wide range of project types and scale, as well as covering the range of conservation issues associated with the international council on Monuments and sites (ICOMOS) guidelines.”
