Completion of Shepherd’s Quay residential development

Construction of a new residential development at Shepherd’s Quay on the banks of the River Tyne in North Shields has been completed. The four-storey development on a historic stretch of the riverside provides 49 properties, with the site layout and massing strategically developed to ensure every apartment has a view of the river.

The contemporary design aesthetic blends traditional facing brick with steel cladding panels and extensive glazed facades, incorporating glass balconies to each property.

Built by Meldrum Construction Services, the project was funded through a joint venture which brought together private developer UKQ Clive Street with Next Level Developments (the commercial development arm of Karbon Homes) and the government’s Homes England agency.
