Prince Charles Officially Opens Barnard Castle Emergency Service Centre
01 February 2018
Napper Architects were proud to meet His Royal Highness Prince Charles when he visited Barnard Castle Emergency Service Centre.
The £3.7m project designed by Napper Architects is the first of its kind in England combining the Fire, Police, Ambulance, and Mountain Rescue Services. This has enhanced partnerships and relationships between the Services in an environment that has delivered revenue efficiencies through a reduction in lifecycle, maintenance, and utility costs.
Inspector Kevin Tuck, of Barnard Castle Police, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Prince Charles. It was fantastic to see so many people from the community out in force to greet him. He spent a considerable amount of time chatting with everyone. The emergency services hub is the first of its kind in the country and we are grateful that he took the time to visit our unique facility.”
